PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stimulate user's attention and to reduce user's wrong conversion by performing enlarged display of conversion candidates when conversion candidates exit more than one and the user easily makes wrong conversion. SOLUTION: This device has an inputting means 4 which inputs KANA characters that are inputted from an input device 2 or instruction information of conversion from the KANA characters into KANJI in a buffer, a KANJI dictionary 8 which registers a conversion candidate character, a converting means 10 which refers to the dictionary 8 and converts the KANA character that is inputted to the buffer into a conversion candidate character and a display device 14 that shows the conversion candidate character. A conversion candidate discriminating means 6 discriminates whether plural conversion candidate characters that are registered on the dictionary 8 of the character inputted in the buffer exist or not. If conversion candidate characters exist more than one, a display controlling means 12 highlights the conversion candidate characters that are converted by the means 10 by performing enlarged display of them on the device 14. At the time of KANJI conversion, this stimulates user's attention and reduces wrong conversion. |
