A drilling catheter assembly comprising: a hollow drilling needle adapted to ser ve as a catheter affixed to a first flange at its non-drilling end; a second flange ad apted at one side thereof to engage said first flange and adapted at its opposite side to engage a rotating shaft; and said first flange with affixed drilling needle and said se cond flange held together in an assembled position by means an outer protection housi ng open at its end near said opposite side.
