PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell device which can be lessened in sunlight loss and improved in power generating efficiency. SOLUTION: Two prism elements 10 which are each shaped like a wedge in cross section and possessed of two radiation planes 22 and an apex 24 are provided in one piece nearly in symmetry confronting each other and separating from each other by a certain distance L1 to form a corrugated light collecting device. A solar cell 18 is arranged facing the radiation planes 22 of the prism element 10. The radiation planes 22 are arranged on the light receiving planes of the solar cell 18 separating from each other by a distance of L0 . By this setup, sunlight is partially collected by the prism element 10, and the collected sunlight is made to impinge on the solar cell 18 through the radiation planes 22. The rest of sunlight is made to impinge direct on the region of the solar cell 18 which has a length of L0 . By this setup, the prism element 10 of a light collecting device of this constitution can be lessened in sunlight loss. |
