ADJUSTABLE SEAT MECHANISM

A fore-and-aft adjustable seat mechanism is provided for small vehicles, such as lawn and garden tractors. The mechanism includes a single slide which is secured to t he vehicle deck and a track which is formed in a composite seat base. A plurality o f incrementally fore and aft spaced stops are formed in the slide for releasable engagement with a spring steel locking lever carried by the seat base. The locki ng lever includes a handle which projects from beneath the seat to allow the operator to adjust the seat while seated.
