PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to optionally access any required translation engine by driving translation system through an interface converter at the time of receiving a translation request for translating language to be translated into translation objective language. SOLUTION: A control device 131 retrieves a translation sever computer within a prescribed retrieving range to judge whether a machine translation system suitable for a pair of requested language names exists or not. When the existence of an English-Japanese machine translation system 111 is detected by the retrieval, the system 111 is selected and an English input sentence to be translated is sent to an interface converter 121 connected to the selected system 111. Then the converter 121 sends the input sentence to be translated to the system 111, which obtaines a translated result to be a Japanese sentence and returns the translated result to the control device 131. The device 131 returns the received translated result to a translation requesting source and ends a series of processing. |
