MODIFICATION OF SOLID FEED FOR PISCICULTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify the subject feed so as to apply floating property to dry pellet or expanded pellet by subjecting solid feed for pisciculture to coating treatment with a sorbitan fatty acid ester. SOLUTION: A solid feed for pisciculture is subjected to coating treatment with a sorbitan fatty acid ester. Coating amount of the sorbitan fatty acid ester is preferably 0.1-5 wt.% based on the solid feed. The solid feed for pisciculture coated with sorbitan fatty acid ester is preferably further heat-dried at 70-100 deg.C. A polyol of fatty acid includes dehydrated product of sorbitol such as sorbite in addition to sorbitan. The fatty acid includes e.g. 8-22C fatty acid which may be saturated or unsaturated. Esterification degree of the sorbitan fatty acid ester is preferably 1-4.
