PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food or drink such as chewing gum effective for improving remembrance and learning potency and activating cerebral function by using epigallocatechin gallate as an active component. SOLUTION: Epigallocatechin gallate is compounded in an amount of >=0.05%, preferably >=0.1% to a food or drink such as chewing gum, chocolate, candy, biscuit, snack, bread, diary product, fish paste product, cattle meat product, ice cream or drink in such a manner as to enable the intake of the compound preferably at a rate of >=5 mg/day, more preferably >=10 mg/day. |
