<p>A rhombic drive, such as for a Stirling machine, for interconverting rotary motion of engine axles to the reciprocating linear motion of two connecting rods. A flexure is employed as a common pivot between links coupled eccentrically to the engine axles. Flexure joint couplings may be used to couple the connecting rods to respective pistons of an engine. Other improvements to a Stirling machine include radiative heating of the heater head and the use of a ceramic heater head to transmit radiative heat into the working fluid of the machine.</p> |
