A bow-mounted archery quiver having a twin-hood design provides improved noise reduction and balance features. Arrows are held in a vertical position and may be removed in either of two directions relative to the archer. An arrow-holding element is formed from an elastomeric material, preferably a viscoelastic polyur ethane elastomer. The quiver is provided with an offset configuration so as not to inte rfere with operation of the bow. The quiver may be mounted to the side of the handle riser of a bow, using a dovetail mounting arrangement. A quick release mechanism allows for positive one-hand push-button release of the quiver from the archery bow.
