<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a long shaft club be easily swung by setting the distance of the center of gravity of each golf club expressed in the actual distance from the grip end almost the same for all clubs in the club set. SOLUTION: For instance in an iron club, the distance A+14 inches between the center of gravity G and the end of a grip 4 is set 500-760 mm, the same for each from the long iron No.3 to the sand wedge. For instance, for No.9 iron which is frequently used by an average player, it is set about 740 mm seeking the distance of the center of gravity applying its swing balance value. The position setting of the center of gravity is done by weight control of a head 2, shaft 3, and a grip 4. This constitution enables the distance of the center of gravity of a long iron club to be shorter making the shaft 3 felt shorter as much to make the club be easily swung by a powerless player.</p> |
