PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing while reducing the peak current by measuring the field induced by the counter electromotive force of a solenoid and the time for sustaining a plunger with a residual field and performing the printing while turning off the conduction of the solenoid during the sustained time. SOLUTION: A time lag, i.e., a sustained time, due to the field induced by a counter electromotive force and a residual field after a solenoid control signal is turned off before a plunger 3a begins to be pulled in is measured. At the time of printing, the solenoid control signal is turned off temporarily for a time shorter than the sustained time. Consequently, the circuit current flowing through a solenoid 3 is decreased but the plunger 3a is not moved because of the field induced by a counter electromotive force and a residual field and a lever 4 is not oscillated. More specifically, the solenoid 3 can be sustained in ON state during the micro time interval even if the circuit current is not supplied. Consequently, current consumption can be reduced immediately after variation of the solenoid control signal.
|
