<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce air loss and noise and improve air blasting efficiency by improving on arrangement of normal and reverse rotating impellers and driving motors built in a casing of a bidirectional axial blower. SOLUTION: A normal rotating impeller 2 with rotor blades of aerofoil shape and its driving motor 3, and a reverse rotating impeller 4 and its driving motor 5 are coaxially arranged and built in a cylindrical casing 1, and one of the driving motors 3, 5 is selectively operated, while the other is stopped to switch an air blasting direction normally and reversely. In a bidirectional type axial blower of such constitution, the normal rotation impeller 2 and reverse rotating impeller 4 are arranged face to face at the center in the casing 1, and the driving motors 3, 5 of the impellers 2, 4 are arranged on both sides of the impellers 2, 4. The normal and reverse rotating impellers 2, 4 are so arranged as to position the impeller at a stop on the upstream and the impeller in operation on the downstream in relation to air blasting direction A or B. While one driving motor is operated to blast air, the driving motor on the stop side and its impeller are constrained so as not to be rotated by blast air flow, and its rotor blades are made to function as air direction guides vane for the impeller on the driving side.</p> |
