<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an elastic monofilament having weatherability suitable as an outdoor fabric and a suspending fabric structural body for seats such as automobile seats, beds, sofas, chairs, etc., by adding a specific stabilizer base to a copolyester. SOLUTION: This monofilament comprises (A) a copolyester and (B) a stabilizer base composed of the following components (1) at least 1 wt.% based on the monofilament of carbon black, (2) a diffusing agent and a secondary stabilizer, (3) an oligomer-like hindered piperidinyl compound having <=12 pKa, (4) an UV stabilizer except the hindered piperidinyl compound and, in the case in which the third compound of the component B has >=7 pKa, an oxygen scavenger. A benzotriazole functional polymer of formula I (R is a group of formula II; X is H or a group of formula III) is the most preferable as the UV stabilizer.</p> |
