摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polynucleotide useful for producing CRFG-1a as a target and a marker of chronic renal insufficiency, having a high identification with a base sequence encoding CFRG-1a polypeptide of a specific amino acid sequence. SOLUTION: This new isolated polynucleotide has at least 80% identification in the whole length with a nucleotide sequence encoding a CRFG-1a polypeptide of an amino acid sequence of the formula and contains a nucleotide sequence encoding a polypeptide having CRFG-1a activity or a nucleotide sequence complementary to the nucleotide sequence. The CRFG-1a polypeptide and the polynucleotide useful for treating and diagnosing chronic kidney diseases, nephrogenic ischemia, diabetic nephropathy, acute renal insufficiency, neurodegenerative disease, Alzheimer's disease, etc. The polynucleotide is obtained by EST analysis from a cDNA library derived from a human kidney by standard cloning and screening.
