PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen sensor which is constituted in such a way that the seal of a filter constituting a gas-permeable structure section is hardly broken even when a prescribed amount of clearance is formed between an elastic sealing member and a ceramic separator. SOLUTION: An oxygen sensor 1 is provided with a ceramic separator 18 through which a plurality of lead-wire passing holes 72 are formed in the axial direction in such a way that their rear sides get in a filter holding section 51 and front sides get in a casing and an elastic sealing member 17 which is elastically inserted into the rear-side opening of the filter holding section 51, has seal-side lead wire passing holes 91 for passing lead wires 20 and 21, and seals the space between the external surfaces of the lead wires 20 and 21 and the internal surface of the filter holding section 51. The rear end face of the separator 18 is positioned on the rear side of a gas introducing hole 52 in the axial direction and, at the same time, prescribed amounts of clearances 98 are formed at, at least, the passing positions of the lead wires 20 and 21 between the sealing member 18 and separator 17. |
