<p>New cyclic monoacetals of formula (I) wherein R?1 and R2¿ represent hydrogen or alkyl group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms with the proviso that at least one of the substituents R?1 and R2¿ is other than hydrogen, which are significantly easier to isolate and can thus be produced in a comparatively high yield. They are suitable especially as intermediates for the preparation of liquid crystals.</p> |
