DEVICE FOR FILTRATING MOLTEN METAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To filtrate molten metal in recycle of aluminum cans in good condition. SOLUTION: A first chamber 2 having a molten metal charging hole 24 and a second chamber 3 having a molten metal discharging hole 25 are arranged in the series state at the right and left parts in the inner part of the filter vessel 1 formed with refractory. A first filter unit 4 formed of a vertical side plate 5 at the inlet side, a vertical side plate 6 at the outlet side and a horizontal filter tube 7 having rough mesh is inserted in the first chamber 2, and a second filter unit 14 formed of a vertical side plate 15 at the inlet side, a vertical side plate 16 at the outlet side and a horizontal ceramic tube 17 having fine mesh is inserted in the second chamber 3. The molten metal charged from the molten metal charging hole 24 is treated in series of the first filter unit 4 and the second filter unit 14 and discharged from the molten metal discharging hole 25.
