<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert steering torque into mechanical displacement with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A comparison switch for use in an electric power steering system comprises a first electrode 70 constituted of a holder 71 adapted to turn about a center shaft, and a contact substrate 72 fixed to the holder 71 and provided with an outer circumferential contact 73b, an inner circumferential contact 73a and a connection element 73c for connecting these contacts 73a and 73b; a second electrode 80 constituted of a holder 81 adapted to turn about the center shaft, and a contact substrate 82 fixed to the holder 81 and provided with an outer circumferential contact 83b, an inner circumferential contact 83a and a connection element 83c for connecting these contacts 83a and 83b; a brush put into contact with the outer circumferential contacts 73b and 83b on the first and second electrodes 70 and 80 for its displacement in accordance with the output of a proportional solenoid; and a pair of contact arms put into contact with the inner circumferential contacts 73a and 83a on the first and second electrodes 70 and 80 so as to connect them electrically to external lead wires.</p> |
