PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring device having a moving means of new construction, and a new backlash suppressing system. SOLUTION: The boring device contains a cylindrical body 2 and a tool supporting member 10 which is moved in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical body to support a boring tool. The tool supporting member is worked by the rotation of a rotary ring 3. The rotation of the ring acts on a cross beam so that it is moved along the longitudinal axis. The cross beam is fixed to a prolonged rod 7 and its diagonal extension part 8, and similarly operated. The diagonal extension part is at least partially slidably engaged with the inside of the tool supporting member. The cross beam is extended perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical body to be engaged with the internal thread of the rotary ring, with the threads on both sides. The movement of the cross beam in the axial direction becomes possible by accommodating it into a slot extending in the axial direction of the cylindrical body. |
