PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparing process for an organic polymer having the terminal blocked with a silyl group, of the formula: R<1> 3SiM. SOLUTION: An organic polymer of the formula: R<1> 3SiM is prepared by contacting a monomer M' and/or an oligomer from M' with a siloxane linkage- free, silyl cation: R<1> 3Si<+> under a condition of no water. M is an organic polymer prepared by addition-polymn. of the ethylenically unsatd. monomer M' of the formula H(R<3> )-C=C-(R<2> )C2 , wherein each of R<2> represents independently a hydrocarbon, H, or a halogen, and R<3> represents H or a methyl group. The monomer M' is pref. an olefin. |
