PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce desired contents of video information recorded on a disk based on a contract. SOLUTION: Scrambled contents and digests not scrambled are recorded on a disk 15. In the case of loading the disk 15 to a reproduction section 5, the digests are reproduced and displayed on a display device 13 and desired contents are selected. A validity period or the like is contracted with respect to the desired contents on the display device 13, contract information is sent to a center 2, a validity management table 22 is generated and the contract is set up. The disk 15 after the contract is loaded on the reproduction section 5 and a password is entered, the password is collated at the center 2 and a descramble key is sent to a terminal 1. Thus, a descramble section 6 is operated and the scrambled contract contents reproduced from the disk 15 are released and displayed on the display device 13. |
