PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance visibility in an arbitrary character size. SOLUTION: A character code and a size S are inputted with a keyboard. When coordinate data expressing the scalable font of a character for size S do not exist in a ROM, coordinate data D1 for a size S1 which is nearest to the size S and is larger than the size S and coordinate data D2 for a size S2 which is nearest to the size S and is smaller than the size S are taken out from the ROM. A coordinate calculation is performed from the coordinate data D1, D2. In this coordinate calculation, when the mesh size of the coordinate data D1 is not S1, the mesh size is varied to S1 and when the mesh size of the coordinate data D2 is not S2, the mesh size is varied to S2. Then, coordinate data for size S are calculated by an interpolation calculation with respect to the coordinate data D1, D2 and also the distance (d) between adjacent strokes is correctingly processed. Thereafter, a bit map transformation is performed. |
