<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flocculant having high safeness for the environment and human bodies and excellent flocculation activity, by incorporating at least one of tomato fruit, its dried product and its extract into the flocculate to be used in various fields such as waste water processing and relating to city water and sewage. SOLUTION: The flocculate made from tomato fruit or its dire product or its extract has excellent flocculation characteristics and is safe for human bodies and the environment. It largely contributes to the global environment preservation from the viewpoint of source saving, decrease in harmful substances and effective use of wastes. The flocculant is prepared by incorporating at least one of tomato fruit, its bride product or its extract, and the obtd. flocculate is added to a suspension to flocculate and separate fine particles. The flocculate thus prepared is mixed with or used together with a flocculation assistant, inorg. flocculate or polymer flocculant. The polymer flocculant is seleted from inic, anionic, cationic or amphoteric poluymer flocculants.</p> |
