<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-reflecting body which uses a polyphenylene ether resin and has a metallic reflecting layer formed by a dry method of no primer coat and which has the excellent property each of heat resistance, sharpness and mechanical characteristics; and a lamp reflector using the light-reflecting body. SOLUTION: This light reflecting body is a molding which has such a resin compsn. that comprises resin components contg. (A) a polyphenylene ether resin of 60-80 wt.%, (B) a polystyrene resin of 5-35 wt.%, and (C) an impact modifier of 5-20 wt.%, and that is stabilized with a phenol-based stabilizer and a sulfur-based stabilizer to result in the melt flow rate at 280 deg.C of 5 or more, and the thermal deformation temp. of the resin compsn. of 140 deg.C or higher, and which has a metallic reflecting layer formed by a dry method. And also, a lamp reflector uses this light reflecting body. The lamp reflector suitable for a wide range of applications can be obtained without using a thing of a metal plate subjected to sheet metal fabrication or a thing made from a thermosetting resin or a high-density thermoplastic resin.</p> |
