<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent the deflection of a rocker shaft and the deflection of an auxiliary port member due to the moment force of an intake manifold by connecting an upper end of a rocker shaft holder to a plate-like reinforcing member, and connecting a part near the end of the auxiliary port member to the plate-like reinforcing member. SOLUTION: Plural cam caps 64 have a function for pivoting a cam shaft 60, and rocker shafts 74, 76 are inserted into holes for pivotal support in parallel with the cam shaft 60. Namely, the cam shaft 64 also has a function as a rocker shaft holder. A plate-like reinforcing member (reinforcing plate) 65 is stretched over on the cam caps 64 so as to ride over between the cam caps 64, and each cam cap 64 and the reinforcing plate are connected to each other. The auxiliary port 81 is formed with a part near the other end (shelf part) 81b at a position near an upper end flange part 82, and this shelf part 81b is provided with the flash surface with the top surface of the cam cap 64.</p> |
