PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a position detector in which components can be employed commonly even if the rotational direction of a motor to be applied is reversed. SOLUTION: A position detector can detect a specified rotational position of the output shaft of a motor when a sliding contact 60A, for example, secured to a cover plate 36 slides on the moving contacts 50A, 50B at a flange section 48 interlocked with the output shaft of the motor. A stopper 40 for blocking rotation of the flange section 48 upon arriving at a specified position is provided integrally on the lateral center line of the cover plate 36 on the fixed sliding contact 60A side. The cover plate 36 has laterally symmetrical shape. Even if the rotational direction of the output shaft of the motor is set reversely for the left and right doors, a single (identical) cover plate 36 can be applied commonly to the position detectors for the left and right doors and thereby the number and cost of parts can be reduced. |
