PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door opening and closing device for an automobile capable of smoothly opening and closeing a sliding door regardless of the stopping attitude of a vehicle with a low cost constitution in the sliding door opening and closing device for an automobile having a slide driving means for automatically opening and closing the sliding door. SOLUTION: A sliding door controller 21 operates the actual speed of a sliding door 2 by a timer for clocking the time and a rotational sensor for detecting the opening or closing position of the sliding door 2, and determines the stopping attitude of a vehicle 1 according to the actual speed and a predetermined reference speed. The controller 21 controls a slided driving means 7 according to the stopping attitude of the vehicle 1 to change the opening and closing speed of the sliding door 2. |
