PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the correcting method for a color filter layer defective part which prevents a foreign matter such as dust fallen and stuck during correcting operation for the color filter layer defective part from becoming a new defect of the color filter layer. SOLUTION: A new color filter material 6 is embedded in the color filter layer defective part 5 and heated and cured to form a corrected color filter layer. In this case, only the embedded new color filter material 6 and its periphery are heated to form the corrected color layer.
