Adhesive strip on ethylene propylene-diene terpolymer components

An ethylene propylene-diene terpolymer (EPDM) substrate (102) has a first layer (104) of a heat-weldable synthetic, e.g. polyethylene, applied to it. This is covered with any suitable adhesive (110) and a protective film for subsequent use. Also included are Independent claims for a heat-weldable tape of this type for joining EPDM and for a process for applying adhesive to EPDM. The EPDM component (102) and the strip comprising the heat-weldable material (104) and adhesive (110) layers are heated by hot air (126a,126b) and joined by pressure rollers (120).
