<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device provided with a paper sheet feeding mechanism capable of coping with thick paper and thin paper by changing pressing force of a pickup roller according to the thickness of the thick paper and the thin paper. SOLUTION: In an image forming device provided with an image forming means and a discriminating means for discriminating the kind of transfer paper on which an image is to be formed by the image forming means, pressing force of a pickup roller 53 for picking up a paper sheet from a paper feeding tray according to the kind of the transfer paper discriminated by the discriminating means is increased in the case of the thick paper in comparison with the case of the thin paper by changing elastic force of a pressurizing spring 64 by the oscillating operation of an arm 62 to be driven by a solenoid 60, and therefore, the occurrence of nonfeeding jam is restrained.</p> |
