PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition for effectively cleaning down a solidified coating material, rust, pigment and admixtures in a coating material transporting piping, and to provide a method for cleaning the coating material transporting piping using the detergent composition. SOLUTION: This detergent composition in a coating material transporting piping comprises (1) at least one of a 1-24C aliphatic sulfonic acid and an aromatic sulfonic acid and (2) a 6-16C hydrocarbon-based solvent. The method for cleaning comprises recycling the cleaning composition in the coating material transporting piping, cleaning the interior of the coating material transporting piping and carrying out flushing by a cleaning thinner, and then performing air blow or nitrogen blow. |
