PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively protect a chest part side face and a head part side face of an occupant by controlling the operation timing of an air bag device and an air belt device. SOLUTION: When the impact of the side collision of a vehicle is detected, an inflator 4 for an air bag of an air bag device 3 mounted inside of a seat is ignited, and the air bag 6 is expanded along a center pillar 12 to protect a chest part side face of an occupant sitting on the seat 1. On this occasion, a head part of the occupant is moved in such a manner that it is inclined to a car body outside toward the center pillar 12 with a little detaly after the collision, but by expanding a shoulder belt 16 in synchronization with the inclination timing to the car body outside of the head part of the occupant by igniting the inflator 4 for air bag of an air belt device 11 with delay, the head part side face of the occupant can be effectively protected. |
