DEVICE FOR VISUALIZING MOLTEN PART IN LASER BEAM WELDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visualize and observe the molten pound by the plasma welding. SOLUTION: A short pulse laser beam source 5 to irradiate the short pulse laser beam 4 having higher brightness than a molten pond 3 is provided for illumination toward the molten pond 3 by the laser beam welding. A camera 7 provided with a high-speed shutter 6 to pick up image of a part in the vicinity of the molten pond 3, is prepared. A wavelength filter 8 to transmit only the short pulse laser beam 4 is equipped on the camera 7. A timing device 9 which is synchronized with the irradiation interval of the short pulse laser beam 4 by the short pulse laser beam source 5 to open/close the high-speed shutter 6 is provided.
