<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a positive displacement micropump for various kinds of liquid samples by filling an inert liquid incompatible with a liquid sample and having a specific gravity larger than the liquid sample in a casing to prevent contact of the liquid sample to a sliding part of a cylinder. SOLUTION: An inert liquid L is filled in a casing of a positive displacement micropump, in a word, the whole cylinder 12 is put in an immersed state in the inert liquid L. A liquid sample S is sucked in an upper space of the inert liquid L existing in the casing. The inert liquid L is incompatible with the liquid sample S, and is required to sink below by having a specific gravity larger than the liquid sample S. Therefore, the pump can be used for various kinds of liquid samples including a living body sample by avoiding contact of a sliding part of the cylinder 12 and the liquid sample S by filling the inert liquid L.</p> |
