PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic roller, e.g. a platen roller, which peels actively an adhesive layer of a strip member, e.g. a mount-less label, even when the adhesive layer is adhered to its surface and has excellent non-adhesiveness and detachability, a method of transferring a strip member by the elastic roller and a method of adhering a strip member by the elastic roller.SOLUTION: An elastic roller, e.g. a platen roller, has a two-layer structure. An elastic body on the side of an inner layer has a concavo/convex shape, and a plurality of slits 25 perpendicular to the axial direction of the elastic body. An elastic material 22 has an inner layer side elastic material 23 arranged on the outer periphery of a roller shaft 21 and an outer layer side elastic material 24 arranged on the outer periphery of the inner layer side elastic material 23 and coming into contact with a strip member. In the inner layer side elastic material 23, its outer periphery has a concavo/convex shape, and a plurality of slits 25 perpendicular to the axial direction of the roller shaft 21 are formed along the axial direction from the outer layer side elastic material 24 to the inner layer side elastic material 23. |
