PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid camera-shake simply and at low cost by discriminating whether or not a shutter time to be set is less than a camera-shake time and increasing the gain for a variable gain amplifier for signal level correction, until it reaches a specified gain when the shutter time is discriminated to be less than the camera-shake time. SOLUTION: When a '▵' switch and a 'DATE' switch of an operation section 123 are at the same time, a CPU 121 displays an operation mode setting menu on a display device 122. Then the UP of the AGC is set by '▵' switch on the operation section 123. When the 'UP' of the AGC is set and when a shutter release button of the operation section 123 is depressed up to the step of a release 1, a setting menu screen is displayed on the display device 122. When the set shutter time is less than the camera-shake time, the camera is configured so as to increase the gain of an AGC amplifier up to its specified gain and the camera-shake can be avoided. |
