<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip-type thermistor, from which a thermistor having a resistance value which falls within a desired range can be obtained with high accuracy, and at the same time, a thermistor having various resistance values can be obtained easily and a method for manufacturing the chip type thermistor. SOLUTION: A chip-type thermistor 1 is constituted by forming first and second comb-shaped surface electrodes 3 and 4 on the upper surface 2a of an elemental thermistor body 2, insulating layers 5a and 5b to cover the upper and lower surfaces of the body 2, external electrodes 6 and 8 to cover the end faces 2b and 2c of the body 2, and a removed part by removing the parts of the electrode fingers 4a of the surface electrodes 3 and 4 so that the resistance value of the thermistor 1 may fall within a desired range.</p> |
