PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new nedasin comprising a protein binding to Drosophila cancer suppressor gene dig gene homology NE-dig, effective for analysis of mechanism and useful for elucidation of malignant tumor-forming mechanism. SOLUTION: This new protein nedasin comprises an amino acid sequence represented by formula I to III, etc., and binds to human NE-dlg having homology to dlg gene which is a cancer suppressor gene of Drosophila and has 51 kD molecular weight and the nedasin (containing splicing isoform) or its variant is effective in analysis of mechanism and the antibody is useful for elucidation of function such as expression, etc., of nedasin and elucidation, etc., of mechanism foaming malignant tumor. The protein is obtained by extracting mRNA from brain, placenta, liver, etc., of various kinds of animals, preparing cDNA library according to ordinary method by using the mRNA, screening the library with a probe derived from a partial sequence, integrating the resultant nedasin gene into a vector and expressing the gene in a host cell. |
