摘要 The invention relates to a method for measuring relevant parameters of individual fibres of single-mode and multi-mode fibres of glass-fibre or plastic-fibre cables. According to said method the measuring beam is reflected at the end of the fibre (3) to be tested by means of a mirror, especially a Schmidt mirror (1) with a very high reflective power (> 99 %), towards the fibre input and the measurement taken at the coupling site by means of a combined transmitter/receiver device. In this way, especially in the case of long cables, the physical separation of the transmitting and receiving station of the measuring system required to date is avoided. The Schmidt mirror (1) is connected to the fibre (3) to be tested via a fibre connector (2). The highly reflective mirror surface is applied to the face of a connector of choice in such a way that the Schmidt connector (4) provided with the mirror surface is connected to the test fibre (3) either directly or via a short section of glass-fibre cable fitted with a normal connector (5) and the Schmidt-mirror connector (4). The advantage of using a section of glass-fibre cable configured in this way is that the Schmidt-mirror connector (4) remains untouched and is protected.
