A procedure for controlling an electric drive, especially in a car for controlling an adjustable part (10), is described. The drive is to be driven reversibly by at least two controllable switches, especially relay switches, in two directions and it is to be switched on/off and controlled by a power switch. The drive driven in a first direction by at least one first switch is first switched off only by the power switch and this/these first switch(es) is/are not switched (especially not opened or blocked) by the switch-off of the drive. The drive switched off by the power switch is again switched on by the power switch with an unchanged state of the first switch(es)
