PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic image wherein the effect of a speckle is reduced by a method wherein the correlation between a signal corresponding with a first sound ray generated by a synthesized data forming means, and a signal corresponding with a second sound ray existing at a different location from the first sound ray, is operated, and ultrasonic image data is formed based on the operation result. SOLUTION: A reflected wave received by ultrasonic wave vibration elements T1-Tn is taken in through a multiplexer 3, a transmitting/receiving signal switching apparatus 4, an amplifier 6, and an A/D converter 7, and is stored in memory addresses M1-Mn of an echo memory 9 as time series data. Then, the sound ray data of sound rays A, B at locations being away from the received sound ray by a specified distance, is formed, and a weighted average of respective data for the sound rays A, B is operated by an correlation operating apparatus 15, and the operated sound ray data is output as received sound ray data corresponding with the received sound ray C, and is converted into an image signal at an image constituting part 16. Such an operation is performed for each sound ray for all pictures of ultrasonic images, and the ultrasonic images are displayed on an image display part 17. |
