FIELD: obstacle detection system, applicable in equipment designed for parking of motor vehicles. SUBSTANCE: the system has an RF field transceiver consisting of two wires or strips of conducting material-antenna producing an RF field, detector of variations of the near electromagnetic field performed by the object approaching the transceiver, as well as a means for warning about the presence and approach of a foreign object. EFFECT: continuous detection of obstacles approaching the vehicle for the whole space of the vehicle part protected against collision, from the maximum distance to contact, without the zone of absence of reception. 9 cl, 6 dwg
