PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process for powdery Mozuku (a sea weed, Nemacystus decipiens) that can be used in a plurality of applications as an auxiliary food material. SOLUTION: The Mozuku that is harvested from the sea or stored after treatment with salt is rinsed with salt water and the salt components are reduced until the content in the Mozuku is down to 0.1-50.0 wt.%. Preferably, a thickener or a coagulating agent are admixed thereto, then the resultant Mozuku mixture is dehydrated and dried in a drying drum, finally crushed to the objective powder. |
