<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity for preparing a cable in accordance with the device of a connected party and also the necessity for polarity switching setting by an external switch and the like. SOLUTION: In a LAN interface device 10, which performs transmission/ reception of a transmission signal and a reception signal by way of another equipment and a connection port in equipment constituting the LAN, the device is equipped with a positive polarity inversion means 14 which reverses the polarity of a transmission signal including a connection confirmation signal at each constant interval of time and outputs the signal to a connection port and also reverses the polarity of a reception signal, including the connection confirmation signal inputted by way of the connection port 15 at each constant interval of time, and a control means 12, which outputs an instruction to fix the connection confirmation signal to the polarity at the time of detection, when the connection confirmation signal is detected from the reception signal.</p> |
