<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an air bag easily and efficiently by putting cloth having the same outline as inflator side foundation cloth and having a plurality of inflator blowoff gas communicating holes radially bored, over the back face of the inflator side foundation cloth to sew the opening peripheral edge parts, then putting occupant side foundation cloth of the same outline over the surface of the inflator side foundation cloth, and sewing the respective outer peripheral edge parts together. SOLUTION: Regulating member cloth 3 is put over the back face of inflator side foundation cloth 1, and these opening peripheral edge parts 1b, 3b are sewed together with reinforcing cloth or the like. Occupant side foundation cloth 2 is then put over the surface of the inflator side foundation cloth l so that the surfaces face each other, and the respective outer peripheral edge parts 1d, 2d, 3d of both foundation cloths 1, 2 and regulating member cloth 3 with the opening peripheral edge part 3b previously sewed. A plurality of band-like parts formed remaining between communicating holes 3c of the regulating member cloth 3 are picked, folded in two and sewed to shorten the length. The respective foundation cloths 1, 2 put inside out and sewed are reversed and turned back to the surface to complete the manufacture of an air bag. The air bag can therefore be manufactured easily and efficiently.</p> |
