PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound which is useful as a dye suitable for forming a blue pixel part of a color filter, satisfied, at a high level, properties such as transparency, adhesion, and light resistance of the color filter coloring part, and gives an ink for forming a color filter having good properties such as emission stability. SOLUTION: This a nitrogen-containing aromatic ring-containing compound shown by formula I (A1 to A4 are each a halogen, nitro, or the like; at least one of A1 to A4 is/are nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring(s); M is two H atoms, a metal having a valence of 2, or the like; D is an alkali metal having a valence of 1, or NH4 ; (m) is 1-4; (n) is 0.3; 1<=(m)+(n)<=4)(e.g. one shown by formula II) is obtained by reacting a nitrogen-containing aromatic ring dicyano compound such as one shown by formula III (X1 to X4 are each C or N; at least two among X1 to X4 are C) with a metal derivative such as cuprous chloride, preferably in a solvent having a boiling point of 130 deg.C or higher (e.g. nitrobenzene) at 130-230 deg.C. |
