<p>The invention concerns a method which consists in simultaneously feeding material (30) to be drawn out in fibres to at least two machines (1, 2) placed side by side, comprising a series of centrifugal wheels (7, 8, 9, 10) arranged in cascade and driven in rotation about axes all having substantially the same direction (main axis 13, 14), two consecutive wheels rotating in opposite direction. The melted material (30) is poured on the first wheel (7), accelerated and conveyed onto the second wheel (8), then optionally on the following wheels (9, 10), to be transformed into fibres by centrifugal ejection, the fibres being carried by a gas stream and collected by a receiving member. The main axes (13, 14) of two adjacent machines (1, 2) are arranged at a non-null angle, such that the two gas streams emitted by the two adjacent machines (1, 2) join and combine with each other. The invention is useful for making products based on mineral fibres.</p> |
