DIFFUSABLE ANTISAPSTAIN METHOD AND COMPOSITIONS

A method of inhibiting sapstain in wet wood comprises applying to the surface of the wood a composition comprising a solution or microemulsion comprising at least one mobile fungicide which will diffuse into the surface of the wood. Preferably the fungicide is methylene bisthiocyanate, optionally in combination with an isothiazolione. The composition also comprises a surfactant and organic solvent or water.
