PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read electronic mail containing an electronic mail address, uniform resource locators(URL), face characters and ASCII art in a synthetic voice. SOLUTION: A voice synthesizing device is composed of a text input device 2 for inputting a text, address extracting device 3 for extracting an address for message exchange system from the inputted text, address book 6 storing the address for message exchange system and a personal name indicated by that address while pairing them, address/personal name converting device 4 for replacing the address in the input text with the personal name while referring to the address book 6 and voice synthesizing device 5 for converting the text converted by the address/personal name converting device 4 into synthetic voice. Thus, the electronic mail address, URL or face characters can be appropriately read and contents can be recognized by a listener in that synthetic voice. |
