<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device which is excellent in responsiveness and heat efficiency while inhibiting the deterioration of flickers and reducing a rush current by avoiding sudden fluctuation of the current consumed. SOLUTION: In addition to a halogen heater 3, a resistor heater 4 is placed within a fixing roller 1 and is kept on during printing, the electric power of the resistor heater 4 being such that even if the resistor heater 4 is kept on during printing, the surface temperature of the fixing roller 1 does not continue to rise but is kept slightly lower than a predetermined fixing temperature. By turning the halogen heater 3 on and off, heating control is effected so that the predetermined fixing temperature is maintained.</p> |
